# Profile and preferences

> Read the authenticated customer and update their supported preferences.

## Read the profile

[`GET /v1/me`](https://docs.getsinbad.com/api-reference/customer-profile/get-customer-profile) returns the customer's details, their configured wallet and chain, and the metadata for their current trade limits.

## Update preferences

Call [`PATCH /v1/me/preferences`](https://docs.getsinbad.com/api-reference/customer-profile/update-widget-preferences) with `preferredCurrencyId`, `locale` or both. The currency must be enabled by Sinbad and permitted for your partner.

## Check the geographic policy

[`GET /v1/geo`](https://docs.getsinbad.com/api-reference/customer-profile/get-effective-geo-policy) resolves the customer's location from the trusted request path. If the country cannot be resolved, the response is `unknown` with `allowed: false`.
